When Do You Need This Form?

When applying for a new EU Blue Card or renewing an existing one. You must have a completed university education (or 5+ years of professional experience in certain fields) and a job offer paying at least 1.5x the average Czech gross salary.

Required Attachments

  • Valid passport
  • 2 passport photos (3.5×4.5 cm)
  • Employment contract for at least 1 year
  • Proof of higher professional qualifications (university diploma)
  • Proof of accommodation
  • Clean criminal record (not older than 180 days)

  • Salary threshold is updated annually — verify the current amount
  • Your employer does NOT need to register a vacancy for the Blue Card
  • You can change employers after 6 months (first 6 months are restricted)
  • Available in Czech/English and Czech/Russian versions

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Salary below the 1.5x threshold
  • Contract duration less than 1 year
  • Degree not recognized in the Czech Republic
